How to find your Proof of Submission in CrossTax

Modified on Wed, 21 May at 8:50 PM

Once Taxually submits your tax return to the relevant tax authority, you can access the proof of submission document in just a few clicks:

  1. Log in to your CrossTax account

  2. Go to My Transactions > Submitted TAX Returns

  3. Find the tax return you need the proof of submission for

  4. Click the download icon in the "Proof of Submission" column

Your proof of submission is also sent to you via email when the return is submitted:

  • Check your inbox for an email from Taxually with the subject line containing "Submitted: Return for [reporting period] in [country] (e.g. Submitted: VAT return for Jan-Mar 2025 in United Kingdom)".

What if I can't find my proof of submission?

If you've checked both locations and still can't find your proof of submission, it might be because:

  • Your return hasn’t been submitted yet—Taxually usually submits your returns a few days before the deadline. If you are looking for proof of submission two weeks before the due date, it’s likely that we haven’t filed it yet

  • The return was only recently submitted and the proof is still being processed

  • There was an issue with the submission process

  • The tax authority doesn't provide a formal proof of submission for that jurisdiction
