What do the statuses mean next to each tax return?

Modified on Tue, 8 Oct at 9:41 PM

For each tax return, you will see one of the following options:

  • Awaiting approval: Your tax return is ready for review and approval.

  • Needs attention: This is rare and happens if there’s an issue with your data. Our team will be alerted and we will work with you to fix the problem.

  • Fetching data: This usually happens on the 1st of the month during the preparation process. Check back a few hours later or the next day for updates.

  • Pending filing: Your return is approved, and we’re ready to file it. No action is required from you.

  • Filed: Your return has been successfully filed with the tax authority.

  • Not due for selected period: There’s no tax return due for this month. Some jurisdictions have different filing frequencies, such as quarterly or annually, so a tax return might not be available until the required filing period ends.
