Before you start: Check your country's Hague Convention status
The notarization process depends on whether your country of incorporation is a member of the Hague Convention. This determines which option is available to you.
Check the Hague Convention status table
Hague Convention country → You can use Legitify (recommended) or arrange notarization yourself
Non-Hague country → You must arrange notarization yourself; additional steps apply (see Option B below)
Option A: Use Legitify — Recommended for Hague Convention countries
Legitify is a fast, fully digital notarization and apostille service. We've secured discounted rates for Taxually customers. The entire process takes approximately one week.
1. Sign and upload the document Download the Power of Attorney from CrossTax, print it, and sign it with a wet signature (pen on paper). Upload the signed version to CrossTax.
2. Start the Legitify process Visit our Legitify Partnership Page and follow their guided process.
3. Complete identity verification Follow Legitify's steps to verify your identity. You'll need your phone and a valid ID document. This takes approximately 15–20 minutes.
4. Receive and share the legalized document Legitify will notarize and apostille your document within 3–7 business days, then courier the original directly to our office. Once complete:
Request a digital copy via Legitify's chat and share it with us

Important
You do NOT need to mail the original Power of Attorney separately to the notary. The notary will courier the final notarized & apostilled document to Taxually's Budapest office after processing.
No audio/video meeting is needed with the notary at the confirmed appointment time.
No further action needed from you after payment.
Total timeline: ~1 week from submission to delivery at our office.
Option B: Arrange notarization yourself — Available to all countries, required for non-Hague countries
1. Sign and upload the document Download the Power of Attorney from CrossTax, print it, and sign it with a wet signature (pen on paper). Upload the signed version to CrossTax.
2. Visit a Notary Public Take the signed document to a Notary Public in your country. The notary will certify your signature and the document.
3. Obtain an Apostille After notarization, obtain an Apostille from your country's competent authority.
Find your country's Apostille authority
If your country is not a member of the Hague Convention, two additional steps are required:
Obtain a stamp from your Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Have the document legalized by the Spanish Embassy or Consulate in your country.
Find Spanish Embassies
4. Send the document to Taxually
Email us a digital copy (scan or photo) via email or chat
